NDP '06 Rehearsal

I went with my mother yesterday 'cause Joel had two tickets and his family probably didn't want to go 'cause their church had something on or anything. Then Aunt Grace had four tickets from Weijing's friend, so yeah. Uncle William and my grandmother went with her. They had one spare ticket, but they claimed the goodie bag. And to think some people even queued up to get the goodie bags and they turn back and leave. They just want the goodie bags I suppose, stupid. By the way it's the real thing, the goodie bag's like a crumpler in some ways and the stuff inside were great. I enjoyed myself at the parade. The performances were way better than the first rehearsal. Ahhh. I still didn't get to see Joel march for Navy, I was sitting real near to the floor. Maybe he'll be on television on the real NDP. My mother and I didn't sit with Aunt Grace (at the very top!) and company even though they reserved seats for us 'cause the ushers were damn scary they shout at you when you anyhow walk around, hahaha. It's so embarrassing. There were four fireworks in total but we didn't really get a good view 'cause we were sitting at the area the fireworks came from so yeah. I mean, the fireworks were really huge from our view so we couldn't see the big picture of it so it's not nice, eh whatever.
And they released balloons again.

Oh, and we even need incentives to encourage us to throw away our rubbish. There was a plastic bag inside the goodie bag for us to put our garbage in and if we throw it at the bins we get a chance to win prizes. Uh, Singaporeans are really inconsiderate. I even saw people who left the mini Singapore flags behind after the first NDP rehearsal! Even if you want to leave something behind leave rubbish la! Dare to leave Singapore flag! Hahaha, I love Singapore :) The plastic bag thing really did make Singaporeans throw their rubbish away instead of leaving them at the seats, but we should still do it on our own what.

After the parade we met up with Aunt Grace they all and walked all the way from the stadium to Aljunied! Walked through Geylang and saw many prostitutes, or at least prostitutes lookalike, hahaha. There were so many cheekohpehs. We walked past this bunch of men with strong China accents, they were saying, 'The girls over there are prettier', in Mandarin of course. Yuck, despicable sparkles. I just felt so disguted when I walked that stretch of road.
We put our bags in Uncle William's car and went for dinner, he fetched us home after that. Thanks, Uncle William! :)
